Are your kids out of school yet? The schools here let out last week but the preschool session ended in May. My kids are craving stuff to do. So my lovely husband has set-up a calendar of activities for them. We need free or low cost activities in our house. It is summer … there is no preschool income so no extra spending money really.
Last summer we discovered the AMF Summer Bowling program that lets kids bowl all summer. My kids all had feet too small for the bowling shoes last year so we didn’t even have that expense. I did buy shoes for my husband and I online. My are a sweet lilac purple color … I love them!;)
Anyway this year, I knew my oldest needed bowling shoes and well renting them adds up. But if one of the kids has something here at my house, they all expect something so they all have shoes this year. If you are going to go on average about once a week then buying your shoes is worth the cost!
Back to the bowling program … the kids get two free games a day. If you buy the adult pass then up to four adults get two games a day. That is a bargain!

Our goal is to go once a week … we went last week and had to remind the kids of rules so many times we only played one game. That is OK though because it was an air conditioned evening activity that we all got to enjoy.
If you haven’t checked this out yet, go check it out at AMF’s Summer Unplugged Site. Oh and you can find AMF on Twitter and on Facebook so link up there too!
Now if you have a good bowling tip, let me know. I know I could use any good tips and feel blessed that we use the bumpers … for the kids, of course!;)
