Mamavation Monday: Keep Moving

March 29, 2010 By Beth

It is Mamavation Monday time again! What did I do last week? I don’t want to say I got better as I still have something but I am feeling much improved over this time last week. I will take it. I also did two twenty minute elliptical work outs. Not a lot but it was the end of the week and I was happy I got them in. I also noticed I was really booking it during my Friday work out time. It is kinda hard to go fast on an elliptical but I was at a top speed for myself. I sure felt (and still do) that work out in my butt!

In other news, I fit in a smaller of jeans on Saturday. I then realized on Sunday they had a hole in them (not from me wearing them!!) so I must fix that before I can wear them again but I wore them Saturday! I bought them as a motivation about a month ago off a clearance rack. It was nice to get them on, button them and realize I could breathe in them!!
Since the scale has not been moving lately, I am giving credit to my Earth Footwear shoes. I have a “dressier” pair that I wear to the office just about every day that I go into the office. I definitely think … well know by those jeans fitting that they are helping shape my legs and butt! woohoo!

My challenge this week: I plan to get work out with Squeaky, my elliptical, this week three to four times. I am going to see if I can keep my speed up.

Results so far: I am down 0 lbs since last Monday. This rut was really getting to me but those two good work outs and the one I had yesterday helped. Those jeans fitting really helped my motivation. Even if that scale isn’t moving … I am!

I am so frustrated with my scale not moving either! That is so great that you fit into your smaller jeans! I am so close but not quite there yet for mine. Keep it up!

Good job for stepping up the intensity of your workout – hopefully that will help budge the scale. Do you take measurements too? I hear that's helpful when we're in a scale # slump.

Try not to focus on the scale but focus on how you're feeling. If things feel a little loser, whip out the measuring tape, you could be losing inches. Keep focused and don't give up.

Woohoo with the skinny jeans! That is awesome! I agree with the other ladies about not focusing on the scale and I tell that to myself but I really, really struggle with it. Keep it up and things will get better! (at lest that's what I tell myself)

Right on for the smaller pants! Now let Mr. Squeaky do his thing. Have an awesome week.
