Mamavation Monday: The Right Direction

May 17, 2010 By Beth

It is Mamavation Monday time again!

What did I do last week? A lot. Well probably not for some folks for this chica, it was a lot! I used the EA Sports Active work out and really enjoyed it. I started the 30 day Challenge on it on Saturday. The other days, I did other workouts that I could do in the two player mode so my husband and I could work out together. I got yelled at a TON by the trainer lady when doing that. “Player 1 step it up!” was a common phrase. I got better though and that is what matters!

My challenge this week: I am going to continue the 30 day Challenge on the EA Sports Active. This morning was my rest day for that so I did the Wii Fit Plus Aerobics workouts for 15 minutes. I was going to do a little longer but forgot I had to set it up and then little dude was up. I was happy with what I got in though! I hope to continue to pepper that in where I can.

Results so far: Here comes the admitting fact. When I got on the scale I was back up 7 lbs from my low. This week though, I am back down 1.5 lbs. So I am going in the right direction. My body was really liking the weight range it was in so to get back to that low will be a big deal. That low will get me 1.5 lb below a number that ends in a ZERO. It will be great to get out of that stuck zone because it really is a zone my body is hanging onto!

So what is next for me? More working out. I need throw in some walking here soon. It might be Wii walking if this nasty rain keeps up. We are participating as a family in the UVA Walk for Kids on June 5th. It is a 3 mile fund raising walk for the UVA Children’s Hospital. I need to be able to do that walk with ease since the three kids will be with us! Check out the details here and if you wish to donate to help sponsor my walking. (My husband is walking too!)

Mamavation #4 is still going! Congratulations to Kim (@mentallyinked) and Rachel (@Rachel_L) for their hard work so far. Go follow them on Twitter. They are both tons of fun and as expected are totally rockin’ this Mamavation Mom gig!

Mamavation TV is tonight! Here are the details.

    Awesome job!

Best of luck with the 30 day challenge and he walk. That's awesome that your husband is walking with you. For some reason my phone will not let me correct but "he walk" in the first line should say "the walk"
