Mamavation Monday: EA Sports Active

January 10, 2011 By Beth

It is Mamavation Monday time again!
The EA Sports Active Challenge too started on Jan 7th with EA Sports Active 2.

Today was my second workout of the Challenge. Right now it is set to 4 workouts a week and I have them set to Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri. My hips are sooo sore. oh my. On Saturday, my legs and core were sore most of the day. This program is working me.
I had someone ask how it is different from EA Sports Active (the first one). Here is my assessment …

  • There is a wireless arm and leg band. These are nice … well except for when the leg band loses it wireless signal because your arm blocked it. I am getting better at that already though. The arm band is so itchy though.=/
  • The workouts are circuit based. So where in EA Sports Active challenge you would run several laps at once, this one you might run twice but they are short runs.
  • It has a heart rate monitor. This is extra drive for me so I like this.

To top all of this off, I have a new scale! I has a decimal point on it and it is sooo pretty. Look at this …I am loving this new scale. The best part is that I get to give one away.

Congrats on the Challenge! I wanted to be in that challenge but I was already doing the P90X one and knew I couldn't do both! Best of luck this week and love the new scale!

I like the EA2 over the EA More Workouts. The leg band stays in place better and you don't have to mess with the nunchuck. I also like the variety of activities that they have. It ALWAYS makes me sweat!

    Here's to a great week!

Heather – the Mountain Bike killed me the first workout. It was better today though!;)

I am loving my scale also! I haven't decided if I will like or despise the decimal point. We shall see…

I am loving the EA Sports Active. I am on the same workout schedule as you and yes, this girl's dogs and all the other animals are barking. I love that you can go nuts and give it your all. I was a sweaty mess after my first session. Have a great week!
