Time for a Life Coach?

February 20, 2012 By Beth 1 Comment

The topic of life coaches came up recently with a group of friends that I keep up with in an online forum and it had me thinking about if this was the right time in my life to consider seeing a life coach.

What can a life coach do for you? A life coach is non-credentialed therapist. They take an hands-on approach to helping people with relationship, career, family, and finance issues.

The ladies in the discussion were talking about the benefits a life coach as offered themselves and their friends. Some of them found new careers as part of the life coach process. The process of talking through their skills and interests with the life coach helped them find a passion they had not perused yet. For those ladies, the idea of having passion in their career has often been lost for some time so the realization that they can find passion in their work again is very exciting. Other ladies used the life coach to explore relationships in their lives ranging from their relationships with their coworkers and managers to their significant others. Another common area of life coaching among the group was family and how they get a work life balance in their life. Some times the work life balance is found by working in a new career but other times it is found by working on priorities in their career, family, and finances.

Are you at a point in your life where a life coach can help? You can find a life coach in Baltimore, Maryland, Miami, Florida, or wherever you are located with a quick online search.

I think if I had the money I would honestly try a life coach. Though if I had the money, I might not feel like I needed one…. 🙂
