Elf on the Shelf 2012 – Day 18

December 13, 2012 By Beth Leave a Comment

We went a little easy yesterday and our Elf on the Shelf hid on mantle. See him? Yeah, here is where I will admit it took me about 5 times longer to find him than it took the kids. How the heck do they find him so freakin’ fast?! I just don’t understand how they can find the Elf on the Shelf but they can’t find their own shoes or library book. HOW?! Maybe I should hide the Elf on the Shelf in their shoes … oh wait then we would have to go through the drama of them touching him and I am not going through the touching drama again. (My brother is only forgiven because he fixed my VA Tech wind spinner that he made me … yes, I hold grudges when they cause more work on my part!)

The pretty part of this picture is the part of nativity scene in this picture. I know you are wondering how many we have and I don’t know. They are all over the house. Please don’t ask me to count. This nativity scene was hand painted by Brian’s grandfather. It is not perfect in the painting and has chipped over the years but is certainly one of the most precious nativity scenes in our house.

So where is your Elf on the Shelf? Have you kicked him out yet or is he still hanging around your house too? Let me know!
