Elf on the Shelf 2012 – Day 30 — Goodbye!

December 24, 2012 By Beth 1 Comment

Today was the last day that our Elf on the Shelf was here. It was a challenge to find another Santa for him to be near in our house but Kingston did find one in the bay window! I of course forgot to take a picture in daylight so this is what you have deal with us posting about Elf on the Shelf. I was sure it would take the kids awhile to find him behind the curtain but it was probably only double their beyond crazy finding times from earlier in the season. Maybe they ran out of steam like I did?

I have to admit that I will be happy to put him back in his box (in the back of my closet.) If I ever clean it out I will be in trouble because then the kids could actually maybe find him. I doubt that the cleaning out the closet part will happen any time soon though so that risk is low. I will kinda miss the little elf as the kids do talk to him and enjoy him. The girls told him goodnight and they they would miss him and Merry Christmas. Sophie tried to get one more gift out of Kington. I had to explain that Santa was already on his way and how it is already morning in some places of the world. whew! No midnight run to the one open store all the way in town!

What did you think of our Elf on the Shelf this year? Did you remember your elf? Say hi … or goodbye to Kingston for a year.

Goodbye, Kingston!!
