Elf on the Shelf 2012: Day 7

December 1, 2012 By Beth 2 Comments

Maybe you have caught the work on Facebook or Twitter that Brian is down at MixedCon thanks to The Fresh 20. I am here at home with the kids because of the parade tonight. I seriously reminded myself a dozen times to move Kingston last night. A dozen. After getting the parade costumes done and then getting the Keurig giveaway up, I was toast. Sophie was sleeping on the couch because of her cold. I went to bed.

Sophie woke me up at 5:45am coughing. I went out the living room and saw Day 6 position Kingston staring at me. Crap! Sophie was wide awake. I finally convinced she needed to go to the bathroom and snapped the Day 6 pictures then ran around the living room in my PJs trying to find a new spot. This was the best I could do under that pressure. Talk about pressure!! I was not ready for that at 5:45 am!!

Then they couldn’t find him. Maybe you caught I was tired of the loud noises as they were on the hunt. It was too early for this … way too early.

Ready for the icing on the cake?? Grace has been watching me work here on the computer this morning. She asked why I posted these pictures and I told people like to see where we hide Kingston. She caught me. Double crap!! I was able to talk my way out of it by saying that people like to see where our elf on the shelf hides because their elf hides in other places. I am about to be fired from this Elf on the Shelf job … maybe tonight I can do better. I figure I can’t do much worse for whatever that is worth!

What is your worst Elf on the Shelf story? Let me know … make me feel better … please!

I forget to move trixie all the time! Thankfully I can usually get her moved before the kids notice.
