Results are in … Mom’s Favorite Candies

October 21, 2013 By Beth 1 Comment

I know we all love to see cute costumes like these …

(Yes, this year we have a Mermaid, a Dora, and a Lightning McQueen.) Halloween night we will see these pictures line up on our friend’s wall on Facebook but what we really want to see is what was in the kids’ Halloween buckets. You know the candies you want to steal before they wake up the next day. Then they will ask where their favorite candy went and you have to make up a story that they must have dropped it in the dark on the way back home last night. Yeah, that story.

I did a little non-scientific poll to see what candies moms love to steal from their kids Halloween buckets. Here are the top 6 picks of candies that these moms take from their kids.

TOP 6 Halloween Candy Picks for MOM

1. Reese’s

2. Snickers

3. Milky Way

4. Almond Joy

5. Butterfinger

6. KitKat

To sum that up, it is chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, and chocolate! Forget the hard candy, the Smartees, the bubble gum. If you bought that to hand out to the kids, take it back to the store for some chocolate candies to keep the mom’s happy!

If you happen to find vanilla Tootsie Rolls, Mary Janes, or Whatchamacalit’s in your kids’ haul, I apparently have some friends that actually enjoy those kinds of candies and I think we need to put together a goodie box from them of the rejected candy that neither kid nor mom will eat at most houses!

Do you agree with these candy picks? Leave us a comment and let us know!

YUM. I love candy. I could eat it all. That is why I try not to keep it in the house.
