Elf on the Shelf: Day 9 Birthday Tree

Today is Sophie’s 6th Birthday! Happy Birthday, Sophie!

Last year, I gave up on a birthday Elf on the Shelf idea as I was in the middle of final projects for a graduate class and gave up. I knew I wanted a special Elf on the Shelf idea for her birthday but was stuck. I knew I had streamers in the basement so I figured I would just decorate with them. They are in the box with the balloons. At that moment, cold medicine genius hit me! Our dear Elf on the Shelf, Kingston, would decorate the tree. I was sure Brian was going to hate the idea but he helped put up the streamers so there! It is hard to have a kiddo with a December birthday. We try to make sure Christmas is separated from her birthday as much as possible. That being said Sophie loves that she has Christmas decorations up for her birthday (for now.)

Kingston made a card too but Sophie has the hidden somewhere. I wasn’t sure where to put him since he had already been in the tree this year. Brian put him in the curtain rod looking down at the tree and the card he made.

Very cute Kingston! I have no idea how to keep going with this year after year for her birthday. ack. Well if you have a December birthday and an Elf on the Shelf, there is your idea for the year!
