Microsoft Office Template Help

January 5, 2012 By Beth

Do you use Microsoft Office? We use it all of the time but we had the 2007 version of the software. We were excited to upgrade to Mircosoft Office 2010 recently. It loads the documents and spreadsheets really fast. Plus all of the documents we made in the past like my gift tags for the Spice Tea we like to hand out as gifts still work (that was a PowerPoint file!) Brian is the spreadsheet master. He is helping organizing booth sales for the Service Unit cookie sale and has an impressive spreadsheet made up for keeping track of it all. He can do everything in a spreadsheet (I fully blame his finance background!) I on the other hand like to work in Office and PowerPoint.

Back to the spreadsheets though … Microsoft Office provided some Holiday Help that includes some great resources. Now don’t start telling me the holidays are over and all of that because I want to point out the Excel Holiday Budget Template.

This template is exactly what I have been talking about in planning out who you are shopping for and what you buy them. The added bonus is that does all of the math for you!! Now, yes now as in January, is when you should start planning for your list year. Why? So you can save money! You want that spent column to be way less than the budget column! We have a pretty set buying list from year to year and buy through out the year for sure. My “stash” is all of the gifts I bought ahead of the birthdays and Christmas time so I can just go pull from the stash and not run out and over spend at the store. This template would be easy to add birthdays and other occasions to so you can stay on track all year with your gift buying in your Budget Pie!

We are thrilled to offer a copy of either Home and Business or Office for Mac (winner’s choice) to one of our readers!!

I would use Excel to track cub scout achievements & awards, Powerpoint & Word to create worksheets & handouts for them. In my household, Excel would be great to track the budget, plan educational activities for my kids and even do some of that creative writing I’ve been putting off. I would choose Office for Mac. Thanks!

OOPS – I thought I had posted the Mandatory Entry first but it looks like it didn’t take (my computer has been acting up all day! – I hope this won’t disqualify me as I would so love to win this wonderful prize for both me and my Honey-Hubby (It would enable him to do some of his work at home and not have to stay at the office so late – which would be like a dream come true!

So please please accept this out of order entry or email me as to how to remove myold entries and start all over again!

Asidse from being a godsend for my hubby – I would also use the program for budgeting projects, cataloguing recipes and just generall getting organized. THANKS!
