Mamavation Monday: A New Start

May 3, 2010 By Beth 13 Comments

It is Mamavation Monday time again!

What did I do last week? I did a lot of nothing work out-wise. I hurt like heck from walking, moving stuff, bending, baby-wearing more than I am used to doing though. My Earth Footwear Exer-Walk shoes saved me though. My feet hurt but nothing like they would have without those shoes.

My challenge this week: We are planning on buying a Wii this week and will be getting the EA Sports Active to go with it. So I am planning on using that. If we don’t get it early in the week, I will start the 30 day Shred. The office challenge ends the end of this month and I am determined to see more progress before then!

Results so far: Still stuck but not for long!

So what is next for me? I am working on setting up a schedule for my work outs and deciding what plan I will use (EA Sports Active or 30 day shred). By next week, I will be reporting and should be tweeting in the mean time!

Mamavation #4 has started! Congratulations to Kim (@mentallyinked) and Rachel (@Rachel_L). Go follow them on Twitter. They are both tons of fun and going to rock this Mamavation Mom gig!

Earth Footwear is sponsoring this week’s blog carnival. Well it is obvious I am a fan so go check them out!
Mamavation TV is tonight! Here are the details.

Have an idea to help me get unstuck? Leave me a comment and let me know. I am accepting all ideas.;)

I think finding a workout that makes you happy will be what will help you in the long run. I love Tae Bo cause it's martial arts and weight loss at the same time. It makes me feel like I"m learning a bunch about self defense while I'm hopping around. But that is me. Tae Bo makes me tick. What makes you tick? You gotta try a bunch of stuff to find out. XXOO

Tonight's show is all about breaking through plateaus. I think the topic will be right up your alley. Have a great week.

You'll bust your plateau. I agree with the other ladies, find what you love. I have a bunch of things I love to do and I switch it up every day. One thing I like is the EA Sport Active, maybe that will help you bust the plateau. See you at mamavation tonight hopefully.

You're still here. That's a good start, right? 🙂 Are you coming to the show tonight about plateaus? Or are you motivation stuck? Do something fun, find a friend or family member to do it with.

I like to do Wii boxing on those days I don't feel like working out. It's on the Wii Sports package that will come with your wii when you buy it. It's fun, and a surprisingly good cardio work out! Best part? You don't FEEL like you're working out.

I think you will love the EA Sports Active! I try to alternate that with Wii Fit because EA is a lot harder and more strenuous workout and the Wii games are more fun. That way I am less likely to burn out or not want to do my workout. Good luck to you this week!

Finding the workout that works best for you and that you ENJOY is tough. It sometimes takes a lot of looking and trying until you find it. I was lucky, because I had tennis,a nd know that I enjoy it so much. That's my fave activity every week!

You'll find it. We're here for you. Just let me know when you need a virtual kick in the rear. I am just a tweet or email away!

Find accountability partner(s) and/or workout buddies IRL or VR. Issue each other realistic challenges. Do something everyday to move you toward your goal(s). Pat yourself on the back often…because you deserve it! :O)
