Mamavation Monday: I called in sick

November 15, 2010 By Beth

It is Mamavation Monday time again!

Looking for the Balance Ball post? Well watch mamavation.com! I will be contributing Balance Ball posts over there hopefully starting this week. Cool, huh? Well I hope you read them and Leah doesn’t kick me off from posting them! So please comment on them when you see them!;) UPDATE: I hope to get a few minutes to get the first post up this week.

I got in all of one work out last week. It was on Monday. I was starting to feel sick but moms don’t get sick, right? Yeah, that logic didn’t work for me last week. I spent Tuesday feeling crummy. Wednesday was just plain horrible. Thursday I barely made it into the office. Friday I actually slept which was amazing. This weekend was just draining and I gave into not working out. Weigh in on Friday, I was up half a pound which considering what I ate (not good) when I wasn’t feeling good, I will take it.

This week, I hope to get in more workouts. I need to figure out a better schedule. I know I need to do it. My issue is that I have too much to do an not enough hours especially related to my homework. My homework is due early December and I am behind. Very behind. So I have come to accept that I will get my work outs in when I can and when I just need to step away the next few weeks. The next few weeks are going to be rough with travel for work, my work deadlines, my homework, and the family. The best thing I can do is admit it now and plan to make it through that time. I know I can do that much.

So while nothing thrilling or even exciting, the best I can manage now is trudge through to meet my deadlines and try to stay semi-sane in the process. Dec 7 will be here before I know and then I can breathe and enjoy my little one’s birthday and the holidays!

Oooo… I need those balance ball posts to get me going! I need to pump mine up and grab it back from the kids.

I am there with ya and the not enough hours. I need to work on my priorities. I hope sleep and the treadmill are near the top. Have a great week!

Somebody forgot to send me that memo that moms don't get sick… You're feeling better this week, right? I am super excited to see the balance ball posts! My hubby makes fun of me for using it so rarely and it taking up so much room. Alas!
