Staying Busy on the Go With Sprint and NETGEAR

September 19, 2013 By Brian Leave a Comment

“I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Sprint. I received product samples to facilitate my review.”

With school days back in gear and my little guy in preschool five days a week, I thought I was going to have all kinds of time at the house to be able to take care things.  As it turns out, nothing could be farther from the truth!  I am constantly on the go these days.  Whether it’s shopping trips, dentist and doctor appointments, haircuts, or just anything that goes so much faster without the kids around, my mornings are booked.  If I do get 15-20 minutes of downtime, it actually takes longer to head home and then back out again for preschool pickup.

More often than not, I find myself sitting in the van or inside of the preschool checking emails and such on my iPhone.  The problem is that reading on the tiny screen is not great for my eyes.  I would rather use the iPad, but I can’t get WiFi at the preschool and paying for service for the one device that I don’t use that often seems just silly.  That’s why we were so happy to get the opportunity to review the NETGEAR Zing Mobile Hotspot from Sprint!  I have Sprint on my iPhone, so I know that I can use this device anywhere that I can use my phone but enjoy the benefits of the larger iPad screen.

This thing is small and lightweight and, if I have my mobile hotspot on me, I can hook the iPad up to it and connect anywhere.  Even better, I can connect up to 10 devices to this hotspot, including my laptop, if needed.  I will say that the laptop pulls a lot of bandwidth and really slows things down.  A mobile device which uses less information is definitely the way to go.  Using my mobile devices, though, the speed is just as fast as I would have at home!  Amazing, right?

With the kids getting older and starting to get their down devices and us starting to travel more, I think that getting a mobile hotspot is going to surely be a must in the near future.  The NETGEAR Zing Mobile Hotspot is easy to set up (no software!) and you can access all of the information that you need through the convenient touchscreen.  Almost too simple!

What is keeping you busy and on the go this school year?  Are you finding yourself in need of a mobile hotspot to keep yourself connected?  Leave us a comment and let us know.
