Wordless Wednesday: Remembering Vacation at Outer Banks

August 3, 2011 By Beth 21 Comments

Yes, it has been all of a few days since we got home but I was digging through my pictures and found pictures I wouldn’t use any where else but I love.

First up, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. I love this lighthouse. I can’t wait until the kids are big enough to climb up to the top … one year!

Second up, chickens at Island Farm on Roanoke Island. I just like this picture and hope you do too! 🙂

I don’t know what it is about chickens, but they are just so cool to me. I love the way they look so soft and fluffy!

That lighthouse shot is cool. It will be fun when your kids are big enough to hike it. 🙂

So you do remember climbing up that lighthouse and the other smaller one on vacation on the outerbanks years ago?? It is an experience for everyone with kids to do if they can.

Of course I remember that hike up there! You have to be 42 inches tall to climb to the top. Little Dude might beat his big sisters in reaching that number! haha

    Great photos, both of them.
Whenever I see a lighthouse, it reminds me of my upbringing in New England living near the Long Island sound.
I agree with Lindsay, chickens look so fluffy when they have their feathers all full and purdy. But as soon as those feathers are gone – UGLY!! =)
