Mamavation Monday: Survived the Deadlines

February 7, 2011 By Beth

It is Mamavation Monday time again! My workouts last week didn’t happen. I knew that last week was going to be hard as it was full of deadlines. It was also stressful. To top the week off, I tore up my knee … as in took a fair amount of skin off of it. Holy crap that hurts. How do my kids do that and keep trucking? I was seriously in tears in the parking lot and limping for two days. My knee is STILL bothering me since I can’t kneel on it or ignore the big bruise on it that came with the missing skin. aye. So moral of that story … don’t trip and skin up your knee. It hurts way more as an adult than it does when you are 2 years old!

This week is the second check-in of the work “Biggest Loser” challenge. The giveaway for a scale is coming up next week so WATCH for it! Oh and it is the EatSmart Precision Digital Scale! Get ahead of the game and follow them on Twitter at @EatSmartScales!
Results this week … not good at all. I am up 1.61%. up. ugh. I knew my lack of activity would get me but I honestly didn’t expect that. This week will be rough with an anniversary, my birthday and then darn Valentine’s chocolates early next week. I work on moderation!

Since my knee won’t let me do some of the EA Sports Active 2 work outs, I am dropping out of the campaign for now. I will start it over when I can do everything in it again. So for now, I am walking and riding the bike. Cardio is something and I can do that. My husband is working on some stretches for his back and offered to help with some for my hip. So while stretches might not be the fat burning technique, if I can lay on my hip without pain at some point, that will be a small miracle and I will feel good about the taking the time to work on that.

Happens. Not nothing horrible about it. I hope you a better week now. And I know weather doesn't help. Is it spring yet?

I agree with Lena. Life handed you some curve balls… this week you know what those are, so what will you do about them? Savor some chocolate and treat yourself, but share with friends or give things away. I made cookies and we are successfully giving them all away as gifts.

Love yourself and start again tomorrow. This is a long race so don't just worry about this bend in the road. We are in it for the long haul, right? Wishing you the best and hope you anniversary and Valentine's are good to you. 🙂

Oh your poor knee! I hope it feels better soon. Happy Anniversary! Don't beat yourself up too much. Tomorrow is a brand new day with a brand new chance to do this. You can do this!
