It’s getting to be that time of year. In the springtime, many people are very concerned about getting their bodies into shape for swimsuit season. During the summer, however, calories don’t count, right? The problem is that those vacation calories really seem to add up.
Now that school has started and we are heading into the fall, it feels like a natural time to start some new routines. Beth and I have had a lot of difficulty starting up new exercise routines because waking up at 5:30 in the morning to work out is pretty non-motivating and working out after the kids have gone to bed following a full day of working or kid-watching is just not going to happen. The best thing that we can hope for is to find a program that can give us the workout that we need while involving the kids in some way.
Thankfully, we got selected to participate in the Just Dance Just Sweat Dream Team! We received a copy of Just Dance 4 and will use this as part of our exercise program between now and Thanksgiving. We hope to be dancing for 20-30 minutes 2-3 times each week. The kids might join in, or they might just sit back and laugh at us. Either way, it should be some good, wholesome, family fun. We’ll be posting our progress over the next several months and may even get in a couple of silly videos of us in action.

Currently, I’m sitting at 240. Over the next 3 months, I’m looking to drop off about 30 lbs. Yes, I’m hoping to drop the weight of a 3-year-old! Beth currently weighs….yeah right!! She has her weight goals in mind and will share losses during the campaign, but she isn’t even sharing the goals with me!
