That’s awesome! I used to run, but not in the last decade. My goal was to run a half marathon by the time I’m 40, and that is less than a year away. I better get working on it.

I actually only started training about 5 months ago. I started with a Couch to 5K program and then moved right into a beginner’s marathon training program. I only ran 3 times a week with one of them being a distance run that increased by a mile each week. Those runs were less about time and speed than they were about just making your legs move that many times. For me, the real key was this: if I wanted to do it, I could….everything else just became an excuse. I hope you try to meet your goal…it’s worth it!

That is fantastic! He looks like he had such a great time, I think I’d be a hot mess after running that far.

The worst was that my sweat dried on my face, so I had salt all over. YUCK!

That is quite an accomplishment! I’ll be happy if I can do a 5K this spring. 🙂

The breathing wasn’t a problem. My knees….that was another story. I had so much trouble walking afterwards. Ice, stretching, water, biking, a chiropractic adjustment, and 5 days later and I’m only just starting to feel normal here.
