In the South, we love our pies! One of the most iconic pies of the American South is the peanut butter pie. Much to my surprise, Beth has never even heard of the treat. I guess it shouldn’t have been that much of a surprise. She grew up in the northern part of the South to Yankee parents, but I figured that, at some point, she would have at least heard of this yummy dessert!
After my trip to Birmingham in January, I promised her that I would make her one and truly introduce her to this Southern delicacy. February was a rough month for us and, before I got the chance to make her a peanut butter pie, I an opportunity to create a dessert using a brand new product by MARS, 3 Musketeers Unwrapped Bites. 3 Musketeers are creamy nougat covered in rich milk chocolate. Since nougat is basically sugar and nuts, I thought this would make a perfect substitute for peanut butter when making a creamy pie.
So I picked up two bags of 3 Musketeers Unwrapped Bites (way easier than unwrapping individual bars), an 8 oz. package of cream cheese, some powdered sugar, an 8 oz. tub of whipped cream, and a pie shell made from chocolate sandwich cookies.
I emptied both bags of Bites into the food processor (I pulled two or three out for a garnish) and just let it go for a little bit. Once you get past the point of crumbling chocolate candy, you’ll see it all start to come together into a smooth ball. This is when these candies really start to mimic the texture of peanut butter. You should get about 1 cup of 3 Musketeers Bites.
Mix it with softened cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, and the thawed tub of whipped cream until smooth. Pour it into the pie shell and refrigerate for an hour or two (trust me, this is the hardest part).
Pull it out of the fridge, grate the extra candies over the pie, and devour!!

this looks yummy, i was just asked ot make a pie for my son’s class for Pi day,,,, now to find the 3 musketeers, i had enough trouble finding the milky ways.
If you can’t find the bites, you can just grab the larger bars and chop them up. As long as you end up with 1 cup of ground up 3 Musketeers candy.
Sounds great making my daughter Tori one for her birthday thanks for sharing

This is absolutely perfect for warmer weather! 75 degrees here today so I could go for some.
I’m not even sure I could trust myself to make this pie. I’d probably eat the entire thing and gain 5 pounds!
Oh MY that PIE looks….. delicious. I know my boys would LOVE it.

I’m the odd one . . . I don’t like chocolate, but everyone in my house does, and I know they’d devour this!
I am not the biggest chocoholic either. This has that nice sweetness and nuttiness with just a touch of chocolate. If the crust is too chocolaty, it would totally work with a pre-baked pie shell or a graham cracker crust.
Yes, please! This looks so delicious, I love Three Musketeers.

YUM! I totally want to try this with Milky Way candies.
I thought about using Milky Way, but was afraid the caramel wouldn’t get the right texture. I thought about trying this with some chopped up Milky Way candies folded in at the very end. Let me know what you try and how it turns out.
I love 3 musketeers. I”m definitely going to have to make this.
I’ve never heard of this, looks yummy!
When I was a little girl I use to love 3 Musketeers. Now I’m definitely intrigued to know how this taste.

OK, so I’m from the south but I have a confession. I don’t think I’ve ever had peanut butter pie. This sounds good, though, so I think I’ll have to give it a shot! 🙂

Made this for my daughter and it was a hit.. I had to pop the 3 Musketeers after I blended it in the microwave to get the peanut butter texture but it worked. Thanks for inventing this delicious treat.
