Beth Week: Easy Canvas Prints

Beth Week is here. What is Beth Week? Brian explained it a few weeks ago HERE!

I know this is Beth Week but Valentine’s Day is a shared holiday during Beth Week so this review and giveaway features something I gave to Brian. I made a canvas print of his super popular Zucchini Parmigiana recipe post!

Here is his new canvas (not on the wall yet … hopefully soon!) from Easy Canvas Prints:

My plan is to make a series of canvas prints over time of his favorite recipes and use them as a border in our dining room. He asked if it was vain to display his food dishes like and I told him no way that it would be special since it is his work not bought art!

What do you think of this plan? Any other recipes we should feature?

So we just rearranged the basement again. I asked for a craft area and I now have a craft area! Everything else in the basement is falling into place but my craft area looked like this …

I am not done but my craft area now looks like this …

Beth Week: Gaiam Massage Therapy Kit and Yoga

Beth Week is here. What is Beth Week? Brian explained it a few weeks ago HERE!

Gaiam Massage Therapy Kit

Gentle, rejuvenating poses combined with the three Massage Therapy Balls create a dynamic program that lets you use your body’s own weight to massage away tightness and deepen relaxation. Three specially sized therapy balls work on different areas of the body to help you pinpoint stress and relax tight muscles. Included Massage Therapy System DVD teaches you gentle, rejuvenating poses combined with the three Massage Therapy Balls to create a dynamic program that lets you use your body’s own weight to massage away tightness and deepen relaxation.

Aim True Yoga

Fun & energizing Yoga workouts for calorie burning, toning and flexibility. YouTube sensation, YogaGlo favorite and Yoga Journal cover model Kathryn Budig delivers an entirely new energy to the practice of yoga. Experience yoga in a new way with Kathryn’s unique ability to bring fun and energy into the practice.

3 work outs on one DVD
• Beginner’s Practice (25 minutes) – Kathryn’s easy to follow, energizing, Vinyasa practice
• Authentic Flow (45 minutes) – This intermediate flow allows you to push to the next level with Kathryn s expert instruction
• Five Favorite Poses (10 minutes)- Kathryn takes a workshop approach to five popular poses…demystifying and breaking them down for you into easy to follow steps!

I know this is Beth Week but we were both excited to get these products. As I type this, we both just finished the Massage Therapy Kit workout (nothing says Happy Anniversary like yoga, right?!) I have to say that my back and shoulder feel so good right now. They feel open and massaged. I won’t say they feel lose and relaxed as I carry every stress in the family on my shoulders if I try not to! The best part of the Massage Therapy Kit workout is that is so easy to do that you don’t need the DVD to go through some of the basic exercises. I really loved and I think we will use the Massage ball set often.

The Aim True Yoga DVD isn’t like any other yoga DVD I have seen. Katheryn is seriously the most cheerful yoga instructor that you can image! She has a giggle and sweetness in her voice. If you aren’t in a perfect form she leaves you feeling comfortable with what you can do. This DVD really has segments for all levels of yoga. Her demystify poses section is just amazing and I have to say I don’t know this body will every be in a headstand because I will be stuck in the beginner’s practice segment for a long time to come!

We are excited to host a giveaway of the Massage Therapy Kit and the Aim True Yoga gift pack to one of readers thanks to Gaiam!

Beth Week: Muppet Band-Aid and Fandago

Beth Week is here. What is Beth Week? Brian explained it a few weeks ago HERE!

Is your house full of band-aids like our house? I seriously can find a regular band-aid here any more. At my sister’s wedding last year, I was sporting a Hello Kitty band-aid on my toe I had hurt. Yup, classy there! I often go into work with a Cars band-aid or Princess band-aid. It is my life. I have fully accepted that!!

So when the kids saw the Muppet Band-aids they were thrilled. Sophie loves the Miss Piggy ones! I love that they are something I remember from my childhood. Don’t worry I am sure I will wearing a Kermit band-aid to work here soon!;)

The Muppets Band-Aid are currently available on Amazon.com for $7.77 for a 3 pack and will be available at mass retailers later this year.

I am so excited to giveaway the same Muppet band-aid samples PLUS a $50 Fandago Gift Card to one of our readers!

Beth Week Approaches!

As Valentine’s Day approaches, my stress levels begin to rise significantly.  You see my anniversary is on February 10th.  As if that isn’t bad enough, my lovely wife’s birthday falls on February 12.  Yes, that’s right, over the course of five days, we celebrate three huge days for any woman.  We fittingly refer to this time as “Beth Week”.
Now, could I be so lucky as to plan one big present?  No way!  That would be too easy, wouldn’t it?  I have to find a way to get separate gifts for her for each day.  Over time, I’ve gotten smart about this.  I never have to get her Valentine’s flowers.  I get a nice big bunch of flowers on our anniversary and they last for all of “Beth Week”.  I usually try to get something appropriate to our anniversary year (this year I have the options of pottery, willow, and leather).  I also try to get us a night out for something special.  One year we dressed up and went out to a dinner theatre.

This year will actually be pretty easy.  If you are a regular reader, you know that we are on a vegan diet for the first six weeks of the year.  That means no dairy, which means no ice cream.  It also means no cheese, which means no pizza.  Conveniently, Beth’s birthday this year is the first day that we are allowed any of this.  Pizza, cake, and ice cream are sure to bring miles and miles of smiles to my sweetie this year.

What do you do think?  Any ideas on what I should do this year?  What are you doing for that special someone?  Leave us a comment and let us know!

Read our full disclosure located in the navigation bar.
